Chasing ghosts...

Spent all day yesterday chasing ghost bugs...wasted the entire day.

I finished the chat system, audio fading, enhanced the camera and added HUD HP/XP display in just 2 days. I tested them all throughly and they worked nicely, I was really suprised. Now yesterday I try to bring them all together and it all just comes crashing down. Suddenly nothing works as it's supposed to.

I track down a few silly bugs I missed during testing, and that was okay, I wasted 3 hours there. But now, I start getting annoying error messages, my fps is in the low 40s and my patience is at an end. I smash my fist on the table a few times, after 2 hours of trying to figure it out, and suddenly, after changing nothing, the error messages are gone. 

Then I realized it was a problem with the engine, and a statistics window I kept open during testing was causing the errors(for whatever reason).

Well I planned on having the advanced animation system at least half done yesterday, and it's not, obviously. Today I just don't have enough time so I might just iron out a few more bugs.

I promised myself I won't release the next version until I fix every possible bug...but that just doesn't seem possible, as I CAN'T REPRODUCE THEM... It's hard to fix something when you can't tell either if it's fixed or broken. At least I figured out why the lizards were walking side-ways...I think ;)

Just to let you know

Heya all!

I wanted to tell you that from next week we should start working normal.
We still are in work delay because some of team mates have one project to finish( which will be done by Monday) . Then textures for characters/monster will be made and animations could be done for the same ..
So that for the next testing there will be at least one of the main characters with some animations in video i'll post as report.
Maybe some more monsters.
Hopefully the bugs we had first time, solved.
There will be some Houses and some defined terrain for the first town we are working on.

Testing #1

Heya!
Today whole team was gathered together and we were doing some testing of the things we did so far.
Here is something little about what we tested:
- Path finding
- Animations of lizard
- Soundtracks
- and some other stuff :)

Well.. first screen when i entered the game made me say "UOU!" ( you have to understand that this is my first project in my life that i am doing).
So... as we all knew that there will be tons of bugs, we was not disappointed when they came one after another :)
Of course its full of bugs at this moment, its just an first testing of how things are moving and so.

-path finding is working... id say well. But mobs are behaving strange when following.
when they're going straight its ok, but sometimes when they have to go left or right they are not rotated and are moving sideways which looks retarded :D
- there are some problems appearing after player dies and respawns again.. its like that you respawn below the terrain surface but you don't see that.. you believe that you are on surface BUT no one else sees you. and your true position is like 10meters forward. BUT for the player himself it looks normal.
- music didn't behave too good but that's not an problem.. ect

i mean .there was lots of bugs :) so i am not going to write all of them .

Yet BearishSun didn't import buildings we made, nor there is specific land definition(just random bumps and holes with crystals) in this version of testing

Visual identity

Hello everyone,

as you can see we've updated our blog with a brand new banner. Now we finally have a visual identity. We will be giving you some previews of the games concept art in the near future so bookmark this blog and keep checking it for updates ;)
